Wainwright has directed and executive produced pilots and specials for CBS, Fox, NBC, ABC and History Channel.

FEAR ITSELF (NBC, one hour special)

This show was a unique venue for feature directors to craft a thrilling stand alone hour long movie for the small screen. Inspired by the classic Jazz era poem “The Wild Party”, “Echoes” tells the tale of a student Aaron Stanford (“X Men 2", “Tadpole”) who starts to channel the lives of a flamboyant and murderous 1920’s couple, Eric Balfour (“Six Feet Under”, “Texas Chain Saw Massacre”) and Camille Gauty (“Ghosts of Girlfriends Past”, “Prison Break”.)  “Echoes” was executive produced by Andrew Deane for Lionsgate TV and written by Sean Hood.

WOLF LAKE (CBS Pilot)

This pilot starring Lou Diamond Philips and Tim Matheison was a fresh and haunting look at the werewolf myth, set in a Pacific North West town. Much like “Twilight” the show took the characters’ home lives and secret lives seriously and wove a mysterious blend of humanistic drama and supernatural chills.  “Wolf Lake” was written and Executive Produced by John Leekly.
